THE 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR IS HALF OVER!
PTSA Updates: The PTSA hosted several staff appreciation events including a staff breakfast, a Make Your Own Trail Mix Bar, and the Holiday Gift Wrap and Dessert Event. We held our first ever Jags Sleep Out to raise awareness on homelessness in our area and raised and donated $750 to the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless. We continued to supply the health room with snacks and water. For second semester we will be contributing to Diversity Night on February 7, 2020 and host the After Prom Party on April 24, 2020. In addition, we will continue to spoil our staff with mailbox treats and a staff appreciation breakfast in May. Finally, we will once again award two Senior Scholarships!
Booster Club Updates: The Silent Auction raised $15,000 and Spirit Wear sales are booming! We continue to need help at the Concessions Stand to raise much needed funds. The 4SW Club, Jagbots and Jagged Edge Robotics Teams, Key Club, Media Center, Model UN, Northwest Athletics, NW Science Bowl, and Think Pink Club have all been recipients of grants from the Booster Club so far this year. The Booster Club will also contribute significant funds to the After Prom Party and athletic and club requests during the remainder of the year. The Mulch Sale is coming on March 28, 2020 so order today and sign up to volunteer! Finally, we will once again award Senior Scholarships!
It’s not too late to JOIN PTSA and BOOSTERS! The PTSA advocates for the school and community, organizes staff appreciation events and the After Prom Party, provides student scholarships, and helps to fund school improvements. The Booster Club supports all school-sponsored extracurricular activities and clubs, provides student scholarships, and contributes to the After Prom Party. We will continue our streamlined communication with ONE weekly e-newsletter, ONE parent meeting (see important dates below for specific meeting times), and ONE website.
