NW Jags Unite to Put a Spotlight on Homelessness
(REGISTRATION DEADLINE EXTENDED TO 11/20/19)
Friday, November 22, 2019 at 10:00 pm
through Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 6:00 am
Dear Northwest Jags,
You are very kind to think about sleeping outside on a cold night, on hard ground, in November. But you are also doing something very important. You are sending a message to other young people who are homeless that you care. That they matter to you. You are making a difference.
And you’ll be part of a movement. Across the nation on the same night families, and civic and school groups will be sleeping out on football fields, in yards, and on lawns to raise awareness of youth homelessness. Students must turn in a Permission Form and a $15 registration fee by November 20, 2019 (payable by cash, check to NWHS PTSA, or online using the form on this page. Every person who registers and participates in Jags Sleep Out will receive a knit hat available ONLY to participants in this event.* Additional information about the event can be found below.
I hope the FAQs will answer your questions, but if you have more, please don’t hesitate to contact Ms. Myers or Ms. Summers in the NW Media Center, 301.601.4652. Stay warm! And thank you—you are helping to change the lives of homeless right here in Montgomery County, Maryland.
Ms. Kim Summers
Northwest High School PTSA President
