NW Jags Unite to Put a Spotlight on Homelessness
November 19th 10:00 pm – November 20th 6:00 am
You are very kind to think about sleeping outside on a cold night, on hard ground, in November. But you are also doing something very important. You are sending a message to other young people who are homeless that you care. That they matter to you. You are making a difference.
And you’ll be part of a movement. Across the nation on the same night families, and civic and school groups will be sleeping out on football fields, in yards, and on lawns to raise awareness of youth homelessness. Students must turn in a Permission Form and a $15 registration fee by November 15, 2021. You can register online here or pickup a paper packet in the media center.
Please click on these Sleep Out FAQs, but if you have more questions, don’t hesitate to contact Ms. Myers or Ms. Summers in the NW Media Center, 240.740.7100. Stay warm! And thank you—you are helping to change the lives of homeless in Montgomery County.
